The house is located in the ancient village of Tellaro,
situated on the extreme eastern point of the Gulf of the
Poets; on its right-hand side, the rocky coast stretches
along to the nearby village of Lerici whilst, on its left-hand
side, it is linked to the Montemarcello-Magra Regional
Park headland plummeting down to the uncontaminated coast
and sea.
Opposite Tellaro, on the other side of the Gulf, lies
the Portovenere headland with its islands Palmaria and
Tino.
The house, once the watch tower of the antique village
of Tellaro, is situated at its main entrance and today
separates the old part from the new part above it.
Going up towards the new part of the village, just 20m.
away, you find the quaint square and church, whilst going
down towards the sea you enter the oldest part of the
village characterised by the typical Ligurian houses in
between which tiny alleyways unwind - some leading to
breathtaking panoramic terraces and others to the ancient
church dominating the small harbour.
DESCRIPTION
The house is located in the upper part of the tower
on two levels; passing under the old archway leading to
the ancient village, the entrance is located on the left-hand
side.
From the main entrance on the first floor you enter the
double bedroom and the bathroom; climbing halfway up the
stairs, you enter the characteristic circular bedroom
with bunk beds; from its small windows it is possible
to admire the unusual view of the cliffs, the sea and
the underlying small square.
On the second floor are situated the large living room
and the kitchen that leads to the top of the tower and
the beautiful roof terrace with a 360° breathtaking
view of the Tellaro rooftops, of the regional park headland,
of the uncontaminated coast and across the Gulf of the
Poets.
In the tower you can enjoy the charming brightly-coloured
and fragrant atmosphere that wafts through the windows
from the village lanes and from the sea.
The air, climate and the sensations experienced in this
house, make you feel as though you are part of the typical
Ligurian lifestyle in the sun, the saltiness, the rich
flavours and friendly voices.
The private parking space is situated at the entrance
of the pedestrian zone.
